| David R. Holley, MD
Radiation Oncologist
Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula
Dr. Holley is a radiation oncologist, practicing
in Monterey, since 1972. He received his
BS and MD degrees from the University of California
at San Francisco.
He has been active in organized medicine at
the county, state, and national levels. For the CMA, he has served as Chairman of the
Board and President, in addition to numerous committees
and several boards of CMA subsidiaries. He was elected
President of the Monterey County Medical Society and
President of it’s business subsidiary. He currently
serves as a delegate to the AMA,
and has served as Chairman of the AMA Council on Legislation
and was appointed to committees that reorganized the
structure of the governance of the AMA. He currently
serves as Chairman of the Candidates Committee of the
CMA Delegation to the AMA and Vice Chairman of the Radiology
Section of the AMA House of Delegates.
Dr. Holley was a Founding Director and is currently
Chairman and President of Seed Dynamics, a technology
driven company specializing in agricultural seed priming
and coating, founded in 1985, based in Salinas.
He served on the Board of Directors for Blue Shield
of California for 12 years, including serving as Vice
Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Committee
on Medical Policy and Technology. He was elected to
the California State Chamber of Commerce representing
organized medicine for two terms. He also served for
12 years on the Audio Digest Board of Directors, a CMA subsidiary
providing continuing education for medical professionals.
He currently serves as Secretary and Director
of NORCAL Mutual Liability Insurance Company, and Director
of the Pennsylvania Medical Society Liability Insurance
Company. He is Chairman of the Investment Committees
of each of those organizations and is also a member
of the Executive Committee of NORCAL, in addition to
other committee assignments. He is a Director of NOVA,
an offshore insurance holding company located in the
Caymans.
Dr. Holley was a founding Director of Axios Data Analysis
Systems, a technology company that provided large database analytic services to multiple business segments.
He also served as Director and Chairman of American
Sound and Video, an audio, video, and CD duplicating
company based in Detroit, Michigan.
