| Rene H. Bravo, MD, FAAP

Solo Practitioner
Dr. Bravo is currently in private solo practice in
San Luis Obispo. Prior to his current work, he was part
of the Mission Medical Associates and the Pediatric
Associates Medical Group.
Dr. Bravo is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
He is also a member of the San Luis Obispo County Medical
Society, where he serves on the Board of Directors.
Dr. Bravo is very active in the CMA
and the AMA. He serves on the
Professions and Licensure Committee, the Health Care
Reform Technical Advisory Committee, is a Delegate
to the CMA House of Delegates, and he is the Chairman of
the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Technical Advisory Committee.
Dr. Bravo serves on the United States Pharmacopoeia
Convention as a Delegate, a member of the Resolutions
Committee, and Chairman of the Membership Committee.
He is an Advisory Board Member of the Perinatal Substance
Abuse Prevention Coalition as well as President for
the Foundation for San Luis Obispo County Public Libraries.
Dr. Bravo has worked on numerous political campaigns
in conjunction with the California Republican Party.
He has also done significant work in medical relief
in rural Guatemala.
Dr. Bravo has published several articles, including
entries in the American Journal of Obstetrics/Gynecology
and the Journal of Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Bravo received his BA in biology from Point Loma
College and his MD from the University of California,
San Francisco School of Medicine.
