NewsFlash
Newsflash is a newsletter that is distributed once a month
via fax to physicians in each region of our pilot project.
This publication serves as a method to share best practices,
an advertisement to upcoming events, a reminder for approaching
deadlines, and a way to receive tools for diabetes care every
four weeks.
The first column on the left usually has the latest news
in either diabetes or in the project. Physicians are strongly
encouraged to read this section. The column on the right will
be entitled Office Team Leadership Forum and will have details
on upcoming activities and summaries of past learning sessions.
There will be a section entitled Tools and Resources where
each month a tool will be presented that can help with the
care of patients with diabetes. The source of the material
will also be listed to allow team members to explore the sites
for resources that would be most helpful to them.
If offices have a success story with small tests of change
or best practices they are strongly encouraged to contact
CMA Foundation staff and report. Success stories are our favorite
kind of story to include into Newsflash because they provide
an opportunity for other participating practices to learn
through example, so please do not hesitate to call.
