Program
While the incidence of cervical cancer is declining overall,
minority populations and persons of low socioeconomic status
still have high incidence and mortality rates. These pages
provide information that summarizes the main findings in
the cervical cancer screening outreach literature and are
organized by population or ethnic group. These summaries
address some barriers to Pap tests screening and some strategies
currently under study that may improve outreach to specific
populations. Included is information focusing on Cambodian
American women, Chinese American Women, Filipino American
Women, Korean American Women, Native Hawaiian Women and
Vietnamese American Women.
